SLRD is the principal field implementation partner of the Global Association of MSMEs

GAMSME is a member-led association that exists to move small enterprises from survival to scale — organising their demand side and connecting them to buyers, banks, skills and public schemes they cannot reach one at a time. SLRD delivers this on the ground, backed by 23 years of institutional presence in rural India.

Under the MoU, SLRD and GAMSME work together across five sector missions, each carrying the delivery load for one priority sector, through national sector councils, state chapters and district units.

2Prepare the enterprise to meet itDistrict and cluster readiness clinics bring enterprises up to those requirements over a structured cycle.

3Close the deal in the openA grand buyer connect — the Sangam — where deals are negotiated and signed, backed by a standing marketplace.

Krishi Udyam Setu

Agriculture and allied · From Farm to Firm

Farmer groups, FPOs, FPCs and SHG collectives graduate into agri-business enterprises the farmers themselves own, with value addition done in the village and the margin staying with the farmer.

SLRD synergy

Maps directly onto SLRD’s FPO & Livelihood, Sustainable Agriculture and Agroforestry work, including aromatic and medicinal plant cultivation and essential-oil value chains.

NEER

Fisheries and aquaculture · From Water to Market

The North East Enterprise and Resource Network. The region imports much of the fish it eats; the gap is market organisation and food safety, not water. Freshness and a documented quality record open institutional buyers.

Destination clusters where local hosts, guides, cooks and drivers become bookable, priced, reliable businesses that hold a standard of their own instead of taking whatever an outside operator leaves behind.

Builds on SLRD’s Green Campus, biodiversity conservation and community-stewardship models, turning conservation landscapes into responsible visitor-economy enterprises.

Shilp Udyam Setu

Craft, handloom and handicraft · From Skill to Enterprise

Turning an enormous craft skill base into registered, trading enterprises — three enterprises per cluster along the value chain: production and technology, design and product, and branding and market access.

SLRD synergy

Extends SLRD’s Sarva Jeevika initiative for handicrafts, handlooms and rural enterprises, and its design and market-linkage partnerships.

Punarchakra Udyam Setu

Waste, recycling and circular economy · From Waste to Wealth

Waste enterprises that supply obligated buyers with proof — weighbridge slip, moisture reading, contamination percentage, authorisation number and a certificate trail — and return compost, manure and biochar to the soil.

SLRD synergy

Aligns with SLRD’s Biochar & Carbon, Circular Economy and Clean Cooking work; crop residue, fish waste and bamboo waste become feedstock that goes back to the land as biochar.

Building enterprises, not beneficiaries

Banks, national boards, development partners and CSR collaborators fund cluster-level delivery across the initial focus states — the eight North East states, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
